UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface)

The modern firmware standard that replaces legacy BIOS on most business-class and consumer devices. It provides a more capable startup environment, supports larger drives, works closely with modern partitioning methods, and enables advanced security features such as Secure Boot.
