HART (Highway Addressable Remote Transducer)

A protocol that adds digital communication by frequency shift keying overlaid on the same conductors as a 4-20 mA signal, where one pair of wires carries both the primary process value and bidirectional data such as device identity, status flags, configuration values, loop health, and sensor diagnostics.
