Glossary: Servicing and Maintenance
Activities performed on machines or equipment that expose employees to the unexpected energization, startup, or release of stored energy. As outlined in 29 CFR 1910.147(a)(2), this includes tasks like constructing, installing, setting up, adjusting, inspecting, modifying, maintaining, lubricating, cleaning, unjamming, and making tool changes.
