Glossary: Lockout Hasp

A multi-holed device, typically made of metal or non-conductive material, designed to allow multiple authorized employees to apply their individual lockout devices to a single energy isolating point. This ensures that the energy isolating device cannot be re-energized until all personal locks are removed, as required by group lockout procedures (OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147(f)(3)).
