Glossary: IDLH (Immediately Dangerous to Life or Health)
The maximum airborne concentration of a chemical from which a worker could escape within 30 minutes without experiencing escape-impairing symptoms or irreversible health effects. IDLH values, established by NIOSH, appear in SDS Section 8 and guide respirator selection.
