Glossary: Group Lockout
A procedure used when multiple authorized employees are involved in servicing or maintenance on machinery or equipment. It ensures that each authorized employee places a personal lockout or tagout device on a group lockout device (such as a lockbox) before work begins, and removes it only when their work is complete. (OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147(f)(3))
