Glossary: Energy Control Program
A comprehensive plan developed by an employer to ensure that employees are protected from the unexpected startup or release of stored energy from machines and equipment. It includes energy control procedures, employee training, and periodic inspections, as required by OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(1).
